Meet the team Maxime Scholten

Oosterhout, July 2023 – Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do within EAE Solutions.

My name is Maxime Scholten, I’m 29 years old, and I started working at the company in an office role before transitioning into my current position in HR.

In this role, I’m responsible for several things, including recruitment (finding the right candidates), handling administrative processes related to our colleagues, processing and keeping track of working hours and sick leave, checking submitted expense claims, preparing and handling employment contracts and related documents, and organizing and following up on the progress of job application procedures.

How did you first get acquainted with EAE Solutions?

I’ve always worked in hospitality, so I’m used to a fast-paced environment. At some point, I was looking for a bit more stability in my work. Still, I didn’t want to lose that sense of hospitality, so I looked for a role where I could bring those skills into an HR position. I was also hoping to find a more close-knit organization, somewhere that gives you that family feeling right from the start, without a strong sense of hierarchy. That’s exactly the feeling I got from EAE Solutions BV from day one.

What is your biggest achievement in the last 3 months at EAE Solutions?

Over the past three months, I have revised and streamlined the employee benefits handbook, adding a more approachable and user-friendly tone. This has resulted in improved employee understanding and greater clarity around company policies. The content was updated to soften the language, making the guidelines feel less stiff and more supportive.

In addition, together with my colleagues, I contributed to enhancing our recruitment process. We now use a wider range of channels and have taken a more proactive approach by directly reaching out to potential candidates. This has helped us attract more targeted profiles that closely match the roles we are looking to fill.

What do you love to do in your spare time?

Like many people my age, I love to sit in the sun and enjoy time with friends. I also play hockey twice a week and enjoy sketching (though I don’t do it as much as I’d like, I definitely want to pick it up again). I also have a passion for Italian culture and love visiting restaurants and wineries there.
